Davit Jojua is a Georgian chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster, the highest title a chess player can attain, awarded by the International Chess Federation (FIDE). Born on January 9, 1989 in Georgia, he gained the FIDE Master title in 2005 and became an International Master in 2006. Jojua then earned the Grandmaster title in 2009.
Throughout his career, Jojua has participated in several prestigious chess tournaments. In 2014, he won the 18th Dubai Open Chess Championship, one of his most prominent achievements. He also participated in the FIDE Chess World Cup 2017 but was eliminated in the first round by Kirill Alekseenko.
