Karthikeyan Pandian, born in February 2000, is an Indian chess Grandmaster. He achieved his Grandmaster title in 2018 after winning the 2011 Under-12 World Youth Chess Championship and the 2017 Under-18 World Youth Chess Championship.
At the age of 11, he attracted worldwide attention for being the youngest Indian to achieve the title of FIDE Master. He went on to secure the title of International Master at the age of 15.
Karthikeyan has performed well in a number of international tournaments. In 2017, he won the silver medal at the Asian Junior Championship in Iran. He also claimed victory at the 2018 edition of the same competition.
Throughout his career, Karthikeyan Pandian has been praised in both national and international chess circles. He has been commended for his aggressive and uncompromising style of play.
