Akshayraj Kore is an Indian international chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster. He was born on September 1, 1988 in Ahmednagar, India. Kore began his chess career at an early age and impressed many with his skills. He received the International Master (IM) title in 2008. In January 2014, Kore earned his final Grandmaster norm at the Parsvnath Delhi International Open and was given the Grandmaster title from FIDE, the governing body of international chess competitions.


Kore is also known for his invitational matches, including the Parachute Advanced Players Chess Tournament, and has won or placed in numerous competitions. His chess achievements include winning the Mumbai Mayor's Cup International Open Chess Tournament in June 2013. He also competed in the Gibraltar Masters tournament in 2015 and finished tied for 8th-15th place.


Kore has represented India in various international team events. In 2007, he was a member of the Indian national junior team that competed in the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad in Turkey. In December 2013, he played on the Indian team that competed in the Asian Nations Cup.


Outside of chess, Kore earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2010 from Maharashtra Institute of Technology and is fluent in the Marathi, Hindi, and English languages.
