Anton Korobov is a Ukrainian chess Grandmaster. Born on June 25, 1985 in Kemerovo, Russia, he became an International Master and a Grandmaster in 2003 and 2006, respectively. He is a three-time Ukrainian chess championship winner, securing the titles in the years 2002, 2012, and 2018.
Korobov has competed in several international competitions. He won the 2012 European Blitz Chess Championship. He also achieved second place at the European Individual Chess Championship 2013 and third place at the same event in 2014. Aware of his performance at the European championship, he was invited to the Chess World Cup 2013, where he reached the quarterfinals.
In 2014, he won silver at the World Rapid Chess Championship and participated in the ACP Golden Classic in Bergamo, where he took second place. In 2018, he obtained a bronze medal at the World Blitz Chess Championship.
