GM Aleksandar Kovačević

Aleksandar Kovačević is a Serbian Grandmaster of chess. Born on 5th January 1978, he got awarded with the title Grandmaster in July 2001. In 2012, he won the championship at the Serbian Chess Championship in Vršac achieving 10.5 points in 13 games. In 2017, he became the runner-up at the 38th Zurich Christmas Open (group B). He also registered significant performances in 2015 at the 2nd Central Serbia Championship in Kragujevac, ranking the 7th place and in 2017 at the 38th Zurich Christmas Open (Group B), where he ranked 2nd.
