Jonas Lampert is a German chess grandmaster. He was born in Hamburg, Germany on December 4, 1997. Jonas learned to play chess at six. At the age of ten, Lampert won the German youth championship (U10). He won the German U20 championships in 2016 and also became an International Master (IM) in the same year.
In 2017, Lampert won the Helmut Kohls Tournament. In the same year, he achieved his first GM norm in Zadar, Croatia. He outperformed players including the Belgian grandmaster Luc Winants and German grandmaster Martin Kreuzer. In 2018, Jonas Lampert won the Korbach Open and achieved his second GM norm.
Lampert is also a member of the chess teams in the Bundesliga and Werder Bremen. He is recognized as one of the youngest grandmasters in Germany.
