Lei Tingjie is a Chinese chess player who earned the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 2014 and the Grandmaster (GM) title in 2017 from the World Chess Federation (FIDE). Lei was born on March 13, 1997, in Chongqing.


She has several accomplishments in national and international chess competitions. Some notable milestones include winning the Chinese Women's Chess Championship in 2014, at the age of 17, and the Women's World University Chess Championship in 2016. In 2017, she dominated the Asian Women's Chess Championship.


Lei also represented China in the Women's Chess Olympiad in 2014 and 2016, helping the team secure a bronze and gold medal, respectively. In the Women's World Team Chess Championship, she contributed to China's gold winnings in 2015 and a silver in 2017.
