GM Li Ruifeng

Li Ruifeng is a prominent Chinese-born American chess player, who holds the title of Grandmaster, which he earned in 2017. He was first introduced to chess at the age of six and subsequently showed remarkable proficiency. He gained recognition for his spectacular performance in the U.S. Junior Chess Championship in 2016 and 2017 where he bagged 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Among his other accolades include winning the 2012 National Scholastic K-12 Championship, representing the U.S. in the World Youth Chess Championships, and the Pan American Youth Chess Championships where he won Gold. Within a short time frame, Li Ruifeng proved himself to be a leading light in the world of chess, playing against notable competitors like Wesley So and Varuzhan Akobian. Despite being dedicated to chess, he also balances his time between the game and his education.
