Fabien Libiszewski is a French International Chess Grandmaster. He was born on February 4, 1984, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. But moved to France after 6 months where he would grow up. At 20, he gained the title of international master and then achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2009.
In 2011, Libiszewski had a remarkable year. He competed in the Chess World Cup but was eliminated in the first round by Alexander Grischuk. In the French Chess Championship in Caen, he was runner-up after Romain Edouard. However, Libiszewski won the 9th Nancy Chess Festival.
