Eran Liss is an Israeli chess grandmaster. He was born on February 10, 1975 and has been awarded the prestigious title of grandmaster, the highest title awarded by the World Chess Federation. Liss achieved his grandmaster title in 2000 and has also served as the head of the chess school in Kiryat Bialik, a city in the Haifa district in Israel. He has not only achieved significant individual success, but has also competed in six Chess Olympiads, representing Israel. In 2004, he won a team silver medal in the 36th Chess Olympiad in Calvia. Notable tournament wins include Haifa 2002 and Biel Open 2003. Liss is not currently active in the international chess scene.
