Constantin Lupulescu is a Romanian chess player holding the rank of Grandmaster since 2007. He was born on March 25, 1984 in Bucharest, Romania. He competed in numerous World Chess Championships for different age categories, achieving his best result in 2000 by finishing third in the under-16 division.
Apart from the World Championships, Lupulescu has been successful in several other prestigious chess tournaments. He won the Romanian Chess Championship six times in 2007, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2017. His performances at the European Individual Chess Championship yielded similar success, his best position being sixth in 2012, which allowed him to qualify for the World Cup.
Lupulescu was also a part of the Romanian team in several Chess Olympiads considering both the youth and the adult category. He received two individual gold medals in the European Team Championships, in 2007 and 2011.
Lupulescu is also an International Arbiter, an official who oversees chess competitions, since 2010.
