Rudik Makarian is a Russian chess grandmaster, born on July 30, 2004 in the village of Alatumani in Georgia. He won the under-16 World Youth Championship in 2019 - the same year he became an International Master - and the Russian Junior Championship in 2020.

He qualified for the 2021 Chess World Cup and was ranked among FIDE's top 32 juniors in early 2024, completing the Grandmaster title in 2025, six years after his IM title.
