Vidmantas Mališauskas is a Lithuanian chess Grandmaster. He was born on 6 March 1963. Mališauskas achieved the title of Grandmaster (GM) in 1993. He has won multiple chess tournaments, twice the Lithuanian Chess Championship (1985, 1987), the Hastings Challengers tournament in 1993, the Panevėžys tournament in 1995, and the Utena tournament in 2000.
Mališauskas has also participated in several Chess Olympiads, representing the Lithuanian team. He was a part of the team in 1984, 1992, 1996, 2000, and 2002. He collected a total of 35 points out of 62 games.
In addition, he has competed in the European Team Chess Championship. In his first appearance in 1992, he scored six out of nine, aiding the Lithuanian team in obtaining seventh place.
