Edgar Mamedov is a Kazakhstani chess grandmaster, born on June 18, 2010. In May 2025, at fourteen, he qualified for the Grandmaster title - the youngest player in Kazakhstan's history to do so.

His youth record is formidable: silver in the under-14 section of the 2024 World Youth Championship, then gold in the under-16 section in October 2025. That August he also helped Kazakhstan's National School of Physics and Math to team silver at the World Schools Team Championship, taking individual bronze himself.
