Mikuláš Manik is a Slovak chess Grandmaster.
Born on June 23, 1975, in Košice, Slovakia, he learnt to play chess at the age of eight. In 1993, Manik attained the FIDE Master title and became an International Master in 1996. He achieved his Grandmaster title in 2007, becoming the fifth chess player from Slovakia to do so.
In his career, Manik has competed in multiple Chess Olympiads representing Slovakia and has had several wins in international chess tournaments. He won three international tournaments from 2001 to 2003 and many successes followed after achieving his Grandmaster title. In 2010, Mikuláš Maník also won the title of Slovak champion in rapid chess.
