Nikita Meshkovs (b. 29 March 1994, Riga, Latvia) is a Latvian-Russian chess player. He was awarded the title of International Master in 2013, and the grandmaster title in 2017. He is one of the top Latvian players and is noted for his strong performance and game improvement.
Meshkovs' first significant achievement came in 2008 when he won the Latvian U14 Championship. In the years to follow, he continued to participate and excel in several Chess Championships. His first international achievement was when he won the Lithuanian Open Championship in 2016. In the same year, he also won the Riga Technical University Open.
Meshkovs reached a milestone in 2017 when he gained the grandmaster title. In 2019, he won first place in the Latvian Chess Championship. He continues to stand out in the chess world as one of the more prominent players on the competitive scene and his playing style is often recognized for its ingenuity and depth.
