Lucian-Costin Miron is a Romanian chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster. He was born on October 5, 1982 in Focsani, Vrancea County, Romania. Miron achieved his International Master title in 2002 and became a Grandmaster in 2008. He has represented Romania in several team competitions such as the Chess Olympiad, World Team Chess Championship, and European Team Chess Championship. For instance, he participated in the 37th Chess Olympiad in 2006 as well as the 38th Chess Olympiad in 2008.
In addition, Miron has played for Romania in the Mitropa Cup for five years (2008 to 2012) and for Bucharest in the European Chess Club Cup. He has also competed in many other important chess tournaments in Romania and across the world. Some of his top successes include a win at the Open tournament in Lugoj in 2008 and earning second place in the Romanian Chess Championship in 2009 and 2010. Moreover, Miron consistently ranked high and regularly achieved good results at international chess tournaments. His career peak ranking was 2535 in December 2006.
