Miroshnichenko won the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 2003 and 2008. He participated in various international tournaments which include winning the Pardubice Open in 2016 and the Cappelle-la-Grande Open in France in 2017. He has been an active participant in multiple FIDE Chess Olympiads, European Team Chess Championships, and World Team Chess Championships.
The grandmaster has also been involved extensively as a chess commentator. He has served as the official commentator for the FIDE's live broadcasts, such as the Women's World Chess Championship 2016, and the Chess World Cup 2017.
