Wojciech Moranda is a Polish chess grandmaster (GM) and a grandmaster of the International Correspondence Chess Federation (ICCF). Born on October 27, 1978, he gained the title of GM in 2009. He is known for winning multiple national and international tournaments since the mid-1990s.



In 2005, Moranda finished second at the Polish Chess Championship. He won the Polish Blitz Championship in 2011 and was the Senior Blitz national champion in 2017.


Internationally, Moranda claimed victory in several tournaments. His notable achievements include winning the prestigious International Neckar Open in 2012, sharing first place at the Budapest Spring Festival in 2008, and securing the next Budapest Spring Festival in 2009 alone. He shared the first place in 2013 Riga Technical University Open, where he was the highest-placed player on tie-break.


In correspondence chess, he won the title of grandmaster in 2016. He took a silver medal at the 29th ICCF World Cup final held in 2018.
