Viktor Moskalenko is a well-known Ukrainian chess Grandmaster and trainer. He was born on 3rd March 1960 in Russia. He achieved the Grandmaster title in 1996. He has been not only a successful player but also an ardent teacher, writer, and theoretician. He has taught in the Union of Russia and Ukraine, and his contributions span over 25 years.
From 2006, Moskalenko started playing for the Catalan Chess Federation. He demonstrated strong performances, such as winning the 2007 Benasque Open, the 2008 Elgoibar Open, and the 2013 and 2016 Catalan Championship.
One of Moskalenko's major contributions to chess is his work as a theoretician. He has authored numerous books on chess strategies and tactics, including his popular work "The Flexible French." His books have been praised for their instructive value and unique analytical approach.
