Srinath Narayanan is an Indian chess Grandmaster who became the 23rd Grandmaster from India in 2015. Born on February 14, 1994, in Chennai, India, he received the title of International Master at the age of 14.


Narayanan began playing chess at a very young age and quickly emerged as a strong competitor. He won the World Under-12 Chess Championship in 2005, becoming the first Indian to win a World Championship in any age category.


Throughout his career, Narayanan has participated in several prestigious international chess tournaments. He played a vital role in India's win at the 2014 Chess Olympiad in Norway and received his Grandmaster Norm in the Asian Continental Chess Championship.


Beyond his achievements in the competitive world, Narayanan has also contributed to chess as a commentator. He has worked as a live commentator for several World Championship matches, further demonstrating his deep understanding and passion for the game.
