Urtnasan Nasanjargal is the first female International Master (IM) and Woman Grandmaster (WGM) from Mongolia. She was born on October 29, 1976, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. She is the most well-known female chess player from Mongolia.
Her playing style is characterized as "like a tiger, always waiting for her chance to attack". She has won the Mongolian Women's Chess Championship multiple times and has achieved many high standings in international tournaments.
Nasanjargal studied economics in university. She is also known to be actively involved in promoting chess in Mongolia through her work as a chess coach at the Mongolian Chess Federation.
