Nikola Nestorović is a Serbian chess Grandmaster and trainer. He was born on October 8, 1967, in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia). He was awarded the Grandmaster title by FIDE (the international chess federation) in 2019. Before this, he had received the International Master title in 1990 and the FIDE Trainer title in 2006. He has competed in several Chess Olympiads and European Team Chess Championships between 1989 and 2013, representing Serbia and Montenegro as well as Italy in these competitions.
Nestorović has also been involved in chess training, coaching the Italian team from 2009 to 2015 which won five medals at the European Team Chess Championships. He did the same with the Serbian team from 2017 to 2020, which won the World Youth Under-16 Chess Olympiads over this period. Additionally, he trained the Serbian junior team, helping them to win three medals at the European Youth Chess Championship. He continues to train both individuals and teams.
