Predrag Nikolić is a celebrated Bosnian chess Grandmaster. He is best known for his general low-profile approach, despite earning significant achievements in competitive chess. Born on 11 September 1960 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he attained his grandmaster status in 1983.
Nikolić has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina in 12 Chess Olympiads, from 1984 to 2006. He participated in Interzonals in 1990 and 1993. An avid participant of world-class chess tournaments, he emerged as runner up in the 1989 Candidates Tournament. He was the European Champion in 2002 and has won a number of other impressive titles.
