Nosenko was the European champion in the category up to 16 years in the youth championship in 1999. In the same year, he was a silver medalist in the World Championship in the same age category. Additionally, he has played for Ukraine in the European Team Chess Championship and the World Team Chess Championship.
He has also competed in several tournaments, coming in first place at the championship of Ukraine for boys in 2000, the Kiev championship among men in 2001, and the Ukrainian championship among men in 2010.
