Zbigniew Pakleza is a Polish chess grandmaster (GM) who achieved his title in 2012. He was born on 29 May 1986 in Bielsko-Biała, Poland. Pakleza first gained significant attention in 2005 when he won the Polish Under 20 Championship. He would go on to represent Poland, with considerable success, in a number of international competitions.

In addition to his playing career, Pakleza also graduated from the University of Bielsko-Biała in 2010 with a major in IT technologies.

Outside of chess, Zbigniew Pakleza is married to Anna Iwaniuk, who is an international chess player in her own right. Together, they have a daughter named Anna Pakleza.
