Ioannis K. Papadopoulos is a Greek chess player who achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2010. He had earlier received the title of International Master in 2007. Papadopoulos was born on February 26, 1988, in Patras, Greece.

His major accolades include his triumph at the Greek Chess Championship in 2007, where he emerged first and later stood second in the same competition in 2008. Papadopoulos made a mark in the team competitions as well, winning the fourth board prize at the European Club Cup held in Rhodes in 2008 while playing for SC Kreuzberg. He was also part of Greece's national team in the Chess Olympiad in 2008 and the European Team Chess Championship in 2009.
