Bruno Parma is an Italian-Slovenian chess player who achieved the title of International Grandmaster in 1963. He was born on December 30, 1941. Parma won the World Junior Chess Championship in 1961, and represented Yugoslavia in six Chess Olympiads from 1960 to 1968. He also participated in the European Team Chess Championships twice. Parma placed high in many chess competitions. He won the 1961 Maribor tournament, shared first place in three Zagreb championships between 1963-1966, and reached second place in the 1965 Havana tournament.


Parma also worked as a chess arbiter, notably at the World Chess Championship in 1981 and the Kasparov-Karpov match in 1986. Off the chess board, he is the author of several chess books and worked as a journalist. Parma was also part of a computer chess project at the University of Bologna.
