Peng Zhaoqin is a Chinese-born Dutch chess player who is distinguished for holding the title of Woman Grandmaster (WGM). She was born on May 8, 1968, in Guangzhou, China. In 1986, she earned her WGM title, followed by her IM title in 2004.
Peng's significant accomplishments include winning the Chinese Women's Chess Championship in 1988 before migrating to the Netherlands in 1996 where she continued to excel in chess. Since her move, Peng has won the Dutch Women's Chess Championship an impressive 14 times up until 2015.
Peng has also competed in the Women's World Chess Championship on numerous occasions, reaching the quarterfinals in 2000. Additionally, she has represented the Dutch team in ten Women's Chess Olympiads from 2000 to 2018.
