Fernando Peralta is an Argentine Grandmaster in chess, considered as the most prestigious title in the game. He was born on September 16, 1979, in Balcarce, Buenos Aires Province, Argentina. Peralta received his International Master title in 2003 and the coveted Grandmaster status in December 2007.
His most significant achievements include winning various tournaments such as the Argentine Junior championship in 1997, Buenos Aires championship in 2002, and the International tournament of La Laguna in 2007. He has represented Argentina in two Chess Olympiads, in 2010 and 2014. He has built a successful career playing many international tournaments, wherein he achieved numerous victories and high scores.
Peralta moved to Spain in 2008 and began to coach other chess players actively. He has trained highly talented players, including IM (International Master) Jaime Santos Latasa.
