GM Georgy Pilavov

Georgy Pilavov is a Ukrainian chess player noted for obtaining the title of Grandmaster in 1992. He won numerous national and international chess tournaments, including the Ukrainian Chess Championship twice, as well as having a strong performance in the European Chess Club Cup 1992, 1993, and 1994. From 1998 to 2010, he did not actively participate in professional chess, but within the years of 2006 to 2016 he was a member of the Ukrainian team in the European Senior Team Chess Championship. After Chessmetrics, at the peak of his career in October 1992, he was rated the 123rd best player globally.
