Vojtěch Plát is a Czech chess player who was awarded the title of International Master in 2013, and further recognized as a Grandmaster in February 2017 by FIDE (the International Chess Federation). His chess career began in Czech Republic where he was born in Ústí nad Labem on 28 January 1994.
Plát has achieved significant successes in his career. He won the European U16 Championships in 2009 in Fermo, Italy. In 2013, he successfully secured second place at the Open Karpos in Skopje, Macedonia, with 7.5 points in 9 games. In February 2016, Plát achieved victory at the 2nd Prague International Chess Festival with a score of 7 points in 9 rounds.
Plát is a member of SK Dům armády Prague, a successful Czech club, and has also represented the Czech Republic's team in international events like the European Team Chess Championship and the Chess Olympiad. He has a significant contribution to his national team's victory at the Mitropa Cup in 2015.
