Aleksandr Poluljahov is a Russian chess Grandmaster. Born on September 27, 1965, in Leningrad, he earned his Grandmaster title in 1995. Poluljahov remains an active player, but his highest ranking was achieved in 1996 when he ranked 89th in the world.
Poluljahov has exhibited a high level of skill throughout his career, attaining various titles and accolades. Among his feats, he won the Saint Petersburg championship in 2006, and the Saga Algulin's Memorial in 2009. Additionally, he represented Russia in the 31st Chess Olympiad in 1996.
