Alexandr Predke is a Russian chess player who was awarded the grandmaster title by FIDE (the World Chess Federation) in 2014. Predke was born on September 5, 1994, in Moscow, Russia. He is best known for his remarkable performance at the 2019 Russian Higher League Championships, where he emerged as the winner, outranking many elite competitors.
From a young age, Predke had an inclination for chess and by 2007, he had already become the Moscow Youth Chess Champion in the Under-14 category. In 2010, he continued to show impressive progress and became the Russian Youth Chess Champion in the Under-16 category.
The fulfilling year of 2014 saw Predke being awarded the grandmaster title by FIDE. Additionally, he was the runner-up in the prestigious Russian Rapid Grand Prix final. He also participated in several international tournaments, including the Gibraltar Chess Festival and Sharjah Masters.
Predke had an exceptional run in 2019 when he emerged victorious in the Russian Higher League Championships, obtaining the right to participate in the Superfinal Championship of Russia. In the Superfinal, Predke held his own against several top-rated plyaers and won impressive games against Alexander Motylev and Kiril Alekseenko.
