Péter Prohászka is a Hungarian chess Grandmaster.
Born on 13 December, 1992 in Budapest, he won his first title at the age of twelve, becoming the Hungarian U12 Champion. At the age of fifteen, he beat GM Pál Benkő, a Centurion, an event that was a huge boost to his chess career. He was also a student of the Budapest high school, II. Rákóczi Ferenc Gymnasium.
Over the years, Prohászka has participated and performed exceptionally well in a wide array of chess tournaments. In 2012, he achieved 4th place at the World Junior Chess Championship. Additionally, he has two sub-championships to his name in Hungarian Championships. He has played in multiple Chess Olympiads as part of the Hungarian men’s team.
