He received his grandmaster title at the age of 14, making him one of the youngest grandmasters in history at that time. Throughout his career, Radjabov has achieved significant success, winning multiple tournaments and competitions. Some of his most notable achievements include winning the European Team Chess Championships in both 2009 and 2013, as well as winning the Chess World Cup 2019. In 2020, he was due to participate in the Candidate Tournament but withdrew due to health concerns.

In terms of his playing style, Radjabov is known for his aggressive and unconventional moves. He often uses the King's Indian Defence and Schliemann Defence strategies, which can be risky but also offer him opportunities for counterattacking. Despite this, he has also demonstrated strong defensive play when needed. Throughout his career, Radjabov has defeated multiple world champions, including Garry Kasparov and Viswanathan Anand.
