GM Raja Rithvik R

Raja Rithvik R is an Indian chess player who was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE, the international chess federation, in 2019. Born in 2004, he began his chess career by playing in district level competitions and later secured the Andhra Pradesh State Chess Championship multiple times. He also won international accolades, winning the World Youth Chess Championship Under-12 category in 2016, and has subsequently won numerous tournaments. The speed and accuracy of his gameplay, and his self-developed opening trap skills in particular, have been widely praised. He aims to become a World Chess Champion.
