Rapport started playing chess at the age of 4 and achieved the title of Grandmaster in 2010 when he was 13 years old, making him the sixth youngest person ever to gain the title at that time. He played in his first international competition in 2003, and has since collected numerous prestigious awards and titles.


Some of his achievements include winning the European U12 Boys Championship in 2008, becoming Hungarian Champion in 2017, winning the 2019 Superbet Rapid & Blitz in Bucharest, among other notable successes. He also played for the Hungarian team at several Chess Olympiads, helping his team win a silver medal in 2014.


Rapport is known for his unconventional openings and aggressive style of play. He is an exceptional tactician and known for his deep understanding and creative style of play. He is married to fellow chess Grandmaster Jovana Rapport. Based on his achievements, it is generally believed that Rapport has the potential to challenge for the World Chess Championship in the foreseeable future.
