Christopher Repka is a Slovakian chess grandmaster who was born on February 2, 1999, in Michalovce, Slovakia. He gained the status of grandmaster in 2016, at the age of 17, making him the third-youngest grandmaster in Slovakian chess history. He initially learned to play chess from his father, who is a chess trainer.


Repka's early chess career consisted of multiple notable achievements. At the age of 7, he won the Slovak Youth Championship U8. In 2013, he finished second in the European Youth Chess Championship U14, which was followed by the First Saturday GM tournament in Budapest, where he achieved his first grandmaster norm in 2014. He achieved his second grandmaster norm in 2015 in Lienz, Austria, and his final norm in 2016 in Budapest.


Throughout his career, Repka has represented Slovakia multiple times in the European Team Chess Championship and the World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad. He has also played in multiple Slovak Extraliga seasons for the club "Slávia STU Bratislava".
