Tanguy Ringoir is a Belgian chess Grandmaster. He was born on 1 January 1994 and developed an interest in chess at a young age. Ringoir started his professional career by attending a local chess club in his hometown.
He achieved a significant milestone at the age of 14 when he became the Belgian national chess champion. In 2011, he achieved the title of International Master from FIDE (Fédération Internationale des Échecs), the international chess federation. After a few years of competitive play, he received the Grandmaster title in 2014.
Ringoir attended the University of Texas at Dallas in the United States on a chess scholarship. He studied there for an international finance degree while he continued to play chess at the highest level.
Throughout his career, Ringoir has competed in several notable international chess tournaments. These include the Europchess tournament where he took first place, the Championship of Paris where he took second place, and the World Chess Olympiad.
