Aimen Rizouk is an internationally recognized chess Grandmaster from Algeria. Born on October 5, 1980 in Saida, Rizouk gained his FIDE Master title in 1997. He received the International Master title in 2002, making him the first Algerian player to achieve such recognition. He went on to earn the Grandmaster title in 2007, further solidifying his place in chess history.


Rizouk has had many outstanding achievements in his chess career. He has been successful in a number of international level competitions such as the Arab Chess Championship and the African Chess Championship. In 2004, he won the Arab Chess Championship in Dubai, and in 2005, he won the Africa Chess Championship in Lagos, thus becoming the first Algerian to win the championship.


In the Chess Olympiad, an international team competition, he has represented Algeria multiple times starting from 1998. He reached his peak ranking of 2566 in January 2007.


In addition to his playing career, Rizouk is also a known chess author. He co-wrote the book "The Chess Combat Simulator" which aimed to improve the player's understanding of practical chess.
