Davor Rogić is a Croatian chess International Master (IM) and chess coach, born on October 15, 1954. He has made significant contributions to the game both as a player and a coach. Rogić has played against several notable Grandmasters including Robert James Fischer and Garry Kasparov.
Rogić is known for his style of play, which favors complex tactical positions as well as endgames. He is also known for his theoretical and practical contributions to the chess opening known as the Sicilian Defence. Outside of chess, he has a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computing from the University of Zagreb.
