Thomas Roussel-Roozmon is a Canadian chess player who was awarded the title of Grandmaster by FIDE in 2010. He was born on February 18, 1985, and took up chess seriously by the age of 12. Scoring notable wins against grandmasters Vladimir Malakhov and Mark Bluvshtein, he also secured a victory in the Canadian Championships in 2009. Roussel-Roozmon holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Montreal and currently resides in Montreal, Quebec. He is prominent in the Quebec Chess Federation (FQE) and is fluent in both English and French. Roussel-Roozmon has represented Canada in World Chess Olympiads and World Team Chess Championships.
