Mikhail Rychagov is a Russian chess Grandmaster. He was born on the 23rd of June, 1974 in Leningrad, which is now known as St. Petersburg. Rychagov was awarded the title of Grandmaster in 1996 by the World Chess Federation. This title is the highest anyone can achieve in the world of chess and is only awarded to players who have shown exceptional skill and talent.


Throughout his career, Rychagov has accomplished several significant victories. These include winning the Russian Chess Championship in 1999, which took place in St. Petersburg, and ranking first at the VI Kochma Memorial in Rybinsk in 2000. He also competed in the FIDE World Chess Championship in 2004, however, he was knocked out in the first round.


Rychagov is also a games author and composed around 80 problems, many of which were awarded prizes. His works have been published in many chess publications, both in Russia and abroad.
