Daniel Sadzikowski is a Polish chess Grandmaster, recognized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE), who was born on October 24, 1986. He earned his Grandmaster (GM) title in 2014 after scoring the necessary norms from a variety of tournaments.
Sadzikowski began playing chess at the age of seven, and at fourteen, he played in the Polish Junior Championships in the U14 category, finishing ninth. He also had modest success in the European (EYCC) and World Championships (WYCC) for juniors.
In 2013, he earned his second GM norm in The Polish Championships, and in 2014, he met the final GM norm during the Zurich Christmas Open Tournament, where he finished seventh.
Over his career, Sadzikowski has played for several chess clubs worldwide, including KSz Polonia Wrocław, SF Deizisau, Ferryt Dunajec Nowy Sącz and Edward Gronowski SCC, and has competed in European Chess Club Cup tournaments. His best individual achievement was a tie for second place in the Polish Chess Championship 2019, where he was defeated in a tie-break match by Kamil Dragun.
Aside from his chess career, Sadzikowski also graduated from the Wrocław University of Science and Technology with a degree in Computer Science.
