Johan Salomon is a Norwegian chess grandmaster who was born on June 20, 1997. He received his International Master title in 2014 followed by the Grandmaster title in 2016, subsequently becoming one of the youngest grandmasters from Norway.
Salomon has achieved numerous impressive results over his career. In 2016, he won the Norwegian Chess Championship, becoming the youngest champion since Magnus Carlsen's victory in 2006. He also competed in the Chess World Cup in 2017 and 2019.
Besides playing, Salomon has written and published chess content for the "New in Chess" magazine. He serves as a chess trainer and has coached the Norwegian youth team. He is known for his analytical approach and ability to perform under pressure.
