Casper Schoppen is a Dutch chess player who holds the title of Grandmaster. Born on 16 June 2000, he participated in the World Youth Chess Championships from 2012 to 2015. His notable achievements include winning the 2017 Leiden Open and earning a silver medal in the European U18 Chess Championship in the same year.
In 2018, he earned his Grandmaster title after obtaining three norms during the 2015-2018 period. He received his final norm at the age of 17 with a strong performance in the 2018 Gibraltar Masters.
Schoppen is also competitive in online chess, where he plays under the pseudonym “Imperator15". He has participated in and excelled at multiple online tournaments including the titled Tuesday tournaments. He also became the youngest FIDE Online Arena Grandmaster in 2014, at the age of 13.
