She later went on to earn the distinguished title of Grandmaster in 2008, making her one of the few women to achieve this prestigious ranking in the world of chess.

Sebag's chess career has been marked by a series of impressive accomplishments. In 2000, she won the World Youth Chess Championship for the under-14 girls' category. In 2005, she took the title of European Women's Chess Champion. A year later, she came in third place in the same championship.
