Dashzegve Sharavdorj is a Mongolian chess grandmaster currently residing in the United States. Born in Mongolia on March 30, 1969, he was awarded the title of grandmaster by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in 2000, making him the second Mongolian to ever achieve this ranking. His highest chess ranking was in July 1997, when FIDE awarded him 2510 points. In Mongolia, he won the Ulaanbaatar Championship in 1991, 1994, and 1998. He also achieved international acclaim when he won the Australian Open Chess Championships in 2000 and 2006. Later, he moved to the United States, where he became the state champion of Vermont in 2010.
