Kirill Shevchenko is a Ukrainian chess player who has been a Grandmaster (GM) since January 2018. He was born on 10th November 2002, and became a FIDE Master at the age of just 9. Shevchenko acquired his International Master (IM) title in 2016, after reaching the final of the 2015 Kids' World Championship. In January 2018, he was awarded the GM title, becoming the youngest Ukrainian chess player to earn this status at the time.
Shevchenko's other notable accomplishments include coming third in a Ukrainian championship for adults in 2016, becoming the European Schools Chess Champion under 7 and under 9 in 2010 and 2012 respectively, winning the 2015 World School Chess Championship under 13, and achieving fourth place in the 2018-19 Ukrainian Championship.
